Some right wing parents and GOP lawmakers are trying to make sure the country’s history of racial inequity and our contributions to this country are muted.
They’re trying to put educators on blast by ramming through classroom transparency laws that would require teachers to post their public school lesson plans so parents would have the right to opt out their kids should they find the syllabus offensive.
Jonathan Friedman, director of free expression and education at PEN America, joins guest host Laverne McGee on “AMplified” to discuss.
