The Moynihan report has been used for a long time in this sector and in the black community to say that black women kicked black men out of the house for a $200 monthly check in the form of food stamps.
This ridiculous notion has been propagated for decades in our community by uneducated members of it who have never seen, read, or touched the report of Daniel Moynihan.
In this video, I read the Moynihan report from start to finish. I laugh, I cry, and try as I may - I make a bit of commentary that I wish I had not for the sake of time. This video is 2:40 minutes.
