Alexander Martin, the co-founder of FUBU, came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, where he spoke about growing up in Queens. Martin then spoke about his father working for the Depository Trust Company and working his way up to vice president, and Martin added that he was adopted. Martin then spoke about meeting Daymond John and Carlton E. Brown, who he would later go on to found FUBU with, in sixth grade. Moving along, Martin spoke about never being tempted in his younger years to get in the streets and make “fast money,” as he explained that he had a bigger vision for his life. Martin then explained that the people he saw in the streets as kids haven’t had the easiest road later in life. Martin then spoke about doing a co-op program in high school, which Daymond John was also involved with. Martin also added that he met the fourth member of his FUBU venture, Keith Perrin, in the co-op program.
